I have a similar issue that's ongoing... books I have purchased & read on my Vox sometimes show as "free preview" instead of in my purchased library. It's inconsistent, except that it's the same 3-4 books, randomly. Initially Kobo support suggested I do a factory reset, however, it was not worth that much hassle to me, so next they suggested deleting the book from my kobo account (from my computer) then sync, then "undelete" & sync again. It worked, temporarily. At least I know how to get a book back it I want to read it again, but it is definitely a bug I've got.
