One of the virtues of M92 is that it does an index of books and other readers. What slows down if you store lots of books.
I like the design classic folders older versions of firmware and I think it should be.

So I went back to the previous version of firmware.

I do not have one M92, but a solution to this could be have a classical file explorer and read metadata only for current shown folder once files has been shown as files. Then, for each file with metadata, system will shown those data instead of file names (changing it on the fly), and file names for those that does not have it.

As a second optimization, system could save a intermediate file on each folder containing metadata cache. For each book not touched take metadata from that cache.
