It's still a loss if the T1 gets damaged because you didn't have a case. It's still going to cost $$ to replace it. It's still going to be an inconvenience. And it's still wrong to suggest to others to go without a cover.

A cover also (IMHO) makes it easier to hold the reader given that it's touch with a small bezel.
