The author of the first Science Fiction book I read, Fahrenheit 451.

Every Easter my parents used to head back to the university they had both attended (and where they had met) for reunion; University of Wales at Aberystwyth. We stayed in the student residences (this particular visit would have been at Pantycelyn Hall) and there were numerous small libraries / reading rooms.

In one of those I found a copy of Fahrenheit 451 which I read... no I mean devoured.

That kindled a love for the genre that continues to this day.
