You are in for a real treat. Enjoy!

I am reading something that I picked up on a whim and really isn't the sort of thing that I usually read. I am pleased to find that I am really enjoying it. It is a YA novel called "The List" about a bunch of high school girls and their experiences after being rated most beautiful or most ugly girl of their class. I should be done tonight.

I am also reading "The House of Storms" by Ian MacLeod. He is a fantastic writer, I'm really surprised that he has not received more recognition. I warmly recommend his Light Ages series (of two books). I will definitely be reading more of his books.

Next on my TBR list is Tea Obreht's "The Tiger's Wife". It is set in a imaginary and unspecified part of the Balkans, which is coincidentally the same sort of setting that I have written for the novel that I am working on. I'm really curious to see how the setting is handled in her book. I am really excited to read it. I hope that I haven't set my expectations too high.
