It's odd. In my mind there have been three periods of "splendor" in the PalmOS world.
1. The early days of the Palm devices when it all got started and became popular.
2. The era of the Sony Clie devices that seemed to turn datebook pdas into full fledged handheld computers with nice hires color screens, decent battery life, storage cards, Doc to Go, mp3 players, video players, remote email, and nice solid hardware.
3. Right now! We just suffered through a dry spell after Sony left the market. Now we have some wonderful devices with great screens, fast processors, good battery life, and lots of memory (except for the Treo, but it's a fantastic groundbreaking device in its own right!)
Sure there are some questions about the future, but right now we're experiencing one of the best times ever in the PalmOS world and I, for one, am enjoying it!
