I've been vacationing in Orlando with my folks, and running around a lot (in fact, the one thing we didn't see much of was fireworks, because we couldn't get to a good vantage spot in time!). I fly back home today, whereupon I can apply my nicely-rested mind (and my nicely-sunburned shoulders) to forums anew.
Not to get all preachy or anything, but for myself, I appreciate the efforts made by my forefathers to give this country a start, and I enjoy celebrating that day. But even without fireworks, I celebrate the birth of the U.S.A. in my heart.
I also had ribs, burgers, and rum-runners.
