It wasn't the aversion therapy method, was it? My BIL (who lives in Oz) tried keeping dog poo in a plastic container, and every time he felt the craving, he took a sniff. Associating unpleasant smells and feelings of sickness with wanting to smoke. Not sure it worked for him that time. It was his near-fatal heart attack that finally stopped him...
I gave up when I found myself sitting round with a bunch of idiots doing endless Lord of the Rings quiz nights, smoking and drinking (I was
quite a bit younger, and it wasn't
just tobacco...), and I had this mini-epiphany - WHAT AM I DOING with my life??!! Never smoked again.
Well done to all of you that have managed to quit.
