Well, actually, I don't sit and read in a library. I go in, find my book or pick it up at the hold desk, and then leave.
Of course, now with ebooks available from my local library through their website, I don't even have to actually go there anymore. Well... except for a routine appearance to renew my card every couple of years or so.
