I've been lurking here for a while, but finally got around to registering.
I started reading e-books because I got hooked on the Grantville Gazette (an e-zine available through Baen). I was reading on a Palm Zire, but decided that I wanted something with a larger screen and which I could read in sunlight, so I bought a Sony PRS-500 on eBay in February.
Since then I've downloaded books from Baen, Fictionwise, and MobileRead (thank you Harry for uploading the D'Artagnan Romances!) and a few from the Sony store (redeeming a $50 intro credit).
Most of my book purchases now are eBooks, but at least half my reading is still paper because I use the public library frequently and I still enjoy browsing used book sales
