But seriously, I hope your back is better soon!

I forgot that we are two nations divided only by language...

. Did you mean "localise" by the way?
I had no idea paracetamol was unknown on the USA. Definitely my headache reliever of choice.
Thanks for the best wishes. Just spent nearly 4 hours on the road again today and could hardly get out of the car when I got home. My boss even tried to send me home, as he could see I was in pain, though I tried to hide it, and in the end I did leave an hour early

Funnily enough, the same thing crossed my mind . I'm feeling so crap I am even contemplating getting my 10 yo daughter to have a go, but I might just be playing with fire .

You have to go to the Southern states to find them, and there they are a common as dandelions! I never encountered 'headache powders' before moving to Japan, where many different medicines are dispensed in powder form... but NOT for mixing with water!! You dump the powder onto your tongue and then drink! It took me a bit of practice to get it right!. What a world!

It's not actually a powder, but in soluble tablets that fizz (plink plink fizz - does that advert mean anything to you?), sold under the brand name Solpadeine. Very effective for an over-the-counter remedy.

Must admit I'd rather rum than whiskey. I've never been able to drink the stuff, no matter how many bottles I've forced myself to drink...
