Well, I've finished reading Open Season by C.J. Box and I enjoyed it. I wouldn't have even given it a second look if my friend hadn't provided it (and it had a recommendation by Tony Hillerman on the cover). In fact I may, at some future date, pick up some more books in this Joe Pickett series!!

In another thread Deep Fathom by James Rollins was mentioned and it kind of appealed to me, so I grabbed one up (Amazon $7.99) and am going to read it next.
