important point! this is one of the devices I'm considering to get (the others being the nook and the sony - off-the-beaten-path they call me).

I would say that if Amazon starts releasing books tha my kindle can't read (or can't read in the "enhanced" format), it would be quite the dealbreaker for me.

So do we know whether this is true or likely?
