I don't much care about the Novel category in either, but I always manage to enjoy several from the short-form nominees for both awards. I will say that the Hugo always seems to be more of a
"it's so-and-so's turn this year" kind of thing (speaking strictly about Best Novel). I mean c'mon... is there any question that George is going to win this year (there is no new Harry Potter book to thwart him) with a story fragment that's not even the best out of the five in the series?
