Unfortunally there a no good opensource hand recognition software available also.

People said they can twek tesseract to do handwriting as well, but its still an enourmous hack, and I'm not really proud of tesseracts results even on machine printed text.

I don't like the current one-line handwriting detection in the iLiad. Because I cannot simply do numbers and letters without switching settings, secondly one has to write strictly on to the given lines, it cannot find a line of your writing on its own... or ajust to different text size...

Actually I"m not even proud of onenotes text recognition.

But I discover I usually don't need textrecognition at all, I write my notes on the iLiad like pictures, and I view it like pictures. Just like if you worked with traditional paper.
