I find the back just a little bit slippery. The quilted look is just that, a "look" not a "feel" of quilt. The Kobo original had a great textured back that actually felt the way it looked, and I loved to read holding it in my hands. I really really miss it. Now, with the Kobo Touch, I always read with it inside the (book-style, fold-over) case.

I usually read between one to two hours a day (I always turn mine off, between extended non-reading times) and my battery lasts at least a month between charges. Of course I am a slow reader (slow reader = less page turns per hour) so that might make my battery seem to last longer.
