I must beg to differ. iRex offers a third-party product which can convert iLiad notes files to text on a PC. That is not the same as having on-board handwriting recognition.

Unless you are talking about the one-line handwriting input method? It doesn't work especially well for me, but it is usable for inputting short text segments, e.g. for searching in FBreader.
