series numbering when there are 2 books in one
what do folks do when the publisher "helpfully" combines 2 volumes into a single e book.

e.g. Philip Jose Farmer Riverworld series - (original paperback) titles 1 & 2 are now reissued & combined into a single epub.

so my series numbers look like 1,3,4,5, as I can't put non-numeric data in the series column ?

none of the obvious solutions appeal e.g. renumber the whole series & get confused, enter 1st volume as 1.2
