Sam “White Wolf” McCleod is a kind of an anomaly, as he straddles two worlds: the White Man's and the Red's. Born and brought up in a Native Indian reservation, and trained in the military, White Wolf, now a US Federal Marshal, investigates a murder and uncovers a web of intrigue involving massive drugs and weapons trade, feuding Mafia families, and government corruption so far-reaching it crosses continents. Aided by a team as varied as Indian tapestry, and connections to New York’s criminal underbelly, the Wolf must trade in old debts and loyalties to prevent future hostilities in his part of the world. Will he succeed in making the nation a little safer? Or will he be caught and crushed in his own past and present play?
