Book Places in the Digital Age

http://aaupdigitaldigest.wordpress.c...e-digital-age/

An interesting blogpost about the future of the "book place" in the ebook age. The author of the post, Tony Sanfilippo, is a publisher, who imagines that in the future, bookstores will: use POD technology, also sell used books, rent books as well (this is a new one), and sell books on consignment (a radical departure from the current model).

Putting his money where his mouth is, he's sent some books to be sold on consignment to a struggling book store in California.

The idea of a rental club is interesting. I'd personally be interested in that, because my local library doesn't have a lot of the books I want.
