I've just posted an article on my blog which explores the sources of fiction. I compare the "voice" used for a character in my novel
Prairie Hill, to dialogue captured in one of my journals some 20 years ago. Although
Prairie Hill is not an autobiographical novel, I can identify many places where some aspect of "real life" experience transformed into fiction. I thought that MobileRead readers and writers might find the piece interesting. Here's a link:
