After several months of using my Kindle, the only downside is the lack of an Itunes type software to communicate with the unit. Perhaps some forum reader out there has any suggestions?
Hope these few words help with making your decision, good luck!
1. A bit off topic, but you can replace an iPods battery. It's not easy but it is simple if you buy on of the kits that comes with the opening tool.

2. I too would like some general software to catalog my books and be able to move stuff to the kindle. Calibre is the best bet for this at this time. You can import .prc books to it and if you don't convert them when you do a save to disk you can save it to the Kindle if you have it connected.
