WPA is the one that's been compromised (I think it can be broken in less than 10 minutes). For now, I believe WPA2 is still relatively difficult to break.

I prefer wired to wireless (lower latency, more reliable, faster throughput) but I have no issues with using wireless. I'm more concerned about being connected to the internet than I am a WPA2 encrypted home wireless connection.
