Well, it's a comic novel about a young man forming a comedy group. Some good lines in it. But overall, not really my kind of thing. And I have a vague feeling that I might have read it back in 2005, but if I did it obviously didn't make much of an impression on me then, either.

Next I read Analog SFF, July/August 2012 by Dell Magazine Authors

An excellent issue. I especially liked the Novella "The Conquest of the Air".

And then, as my subscripton had finally come to an end and Fictionwise aren't offering subscriptions any more, with the help of a 40% off weekend code and 15% for a new release, I bought and read Asimov's SF, July 2012 by Dell Magazine Authors.

And it was a very good issue indeed, if not quite as good as this month's Analog.

And most recently I've read Sir Dominic Flandry by Poul Anderson

Three splendid novels and a short story about Dominic Flandrey and his work to put off the "Long Night" that will follow the fall of the Terran Empire.

It would have been better to read it in series order, but even so it was very good indeed.

Next up: Bedlam's Bard by Mercedes Lackey and Ellen Guon

Finally! An ebook release of Summoned to Tourney as the second half of this omnibus.
