You seem to have everything installed correctly, so there's no need to reinstall anything. But then, it wouldn't hurt anything either.
Note that we always speak of keys, not abstract letters to enter. There is no difference between "p" and "P" in that context, we refer to the same key.
You should just press one key after another, not hold anything down during following key presses.
You need to be *fast* when entering the keys.
