I think you'll be thrilled with it. There is a T1 and a Kobo Touch both in our household. I was making googoo eyes at the T1 the whole time I had the Touch and when I bought the T1 and gave the KT to my husband he definitely thinks the T1 is the better of the two readers.
(he likes the KT though, too.)
