Perhaps a solution would be allowing a long touch on the 'HOME' page book image to show the book's name in a pop-up? Or perhaps putting in a setting that would allow you to default the 'HOME' to your 'Recently Read' library view instead? Maybe a double-click on the physical button so that you don't miss out on using the drop down menu should the above option be allowed.
