Well, Jerry, Zelda was her "Operator name" when she worked in the boring, low-paid government position in the ironically named Multiversal Peace Corp as a pre-birth assassin (her job was to go back in time and kill the selected subject's grandfather in all Universes). Pinwheel was the name for the maneuver she'd use that...well, let's just say that if what she did to you didn't kill you, well you weren't going to be making babies in that lifetime.
You know...a typical salaried government employee. Crap job, crap pay, but the benefits were good (she got to jump the queue on her migration-application to this universe, for starters).
