For me the Glowlight feature would not be worth another $40. But I rarely read in lights-out situations (or I'll use a backlit device in 'night mode' for that). You can save another $20 by purchasing a refurbished NST.
But I can see the appeal, even for $139, especially if this is going to be your main, go everywhere reading device.
Given how carelessly I sometimes treat my devices, though, I'd be a little concerned about the reported fragility of the light layer. I don't like to use covers (bulk, expense) so it's likely I'd eventually ding the thing. I'd rather have something that is cheaper and can take a bit of abuse.
