I can obviously change the "adjust scroll" menu to add 5 steps scroll in landscape mode!
But I don't get why adding such a thing to portrait mode: I added arrows when increasing image size. They scroll up/down/left/right by 200px: I could increase this, if you prefer.
You can, anyway, use swipe gesture to scroll.
Image resizing (just like rotate function in portrait mode) is intended to be a "one-shot": if you feel the needing of it more than a few times, I'd suggest to use landscape mode or resize images on your PC.

I forgot to reply at your question!
"built-in files renamer" would be, in my opinion, a new entry in the launcher menu (Image Gallery will have a submenu with two entries: Image Gallery and File Renamer).
It will rename all files in /documents/Gallery subfolders according to the necessary pattern (0, 1, 2....)
