First off, if it is the full size edge take out the battery for a short while. Then plug it back in and press the power button and let us know how you go.
If yours is the EE and it is a WSoD then this will be the first one we have heard of, as the video sub system appears to be more robust on the EE.
There has been a problem with the EE hibernating, or to be more precise, coming out of hibernation. Because of this I always switch mine off when I'm not using it.
If yours is the small PE, again don't give up hope just yet, as Filark said some people managed to recover from an apparent WSoD.
