You'd think so, yes. But no. Sonys don't natively support folders; they sort by title, author, and date loaded--and categories/tags added through their software or Calibre. The PRS+ firmware hack allows Sonys to have folders, but I don't believe it works on the T1.

I don't know anything about how the Kobo works, but it doesn't surprise me that folders aren't part of it--the readers that expect users to download directly from their store with no computer interface, don't need folders; most users never see the internal folder structure.
