I have the Nook Simple Touch and the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight. Side by side, on a bright sunny day or even a bright room, the contrast on the NST is definitely better than the NSTGL. But the GlowLight really makes it convenient to read on in all situations other than the bright sunny day I mentioned above. Having said that, I chose the NST as my go-to reader.
