I've never used a screen protector, not even on my old prs505 since I use my readers in a case. Is it really necessary? After 4 years of reading the 505's glass was still immaculate...
Thank you, Chantal! I honestly don't know if it's necessary for the T1 (I just bought mine recently). My previous experience is with Kobo (the Touch and WiFi) for which the screen protector is a must. I believe though they use different technologies - all I can say is that the feel I get from using the T1 is vastly different, particularly regarding the response time. Also, Kobo Touch looks like a forensic experiment in pawing after barely an hour of use, while T1 shows almost no fingerprints after half a day, so maybe the screen itself is different as well.

If you say that I should forgo the screen protector and use only a case, I think I'll follow your advice. Any suggestions for a good case? Thanks again!
