Skydog,
Now you've raised a somewhat different but important issue. As noted above, I've tried nearly a dozen styluses and I'm sure I've tried at least twice that many note taking apps, mainly for the iPad. The best I've found (and its available for both the iPad and the KF) is 7Notes Premium. Its major advantage over any other app I've used is that it has a very good real time handwriting recognition engine that translates my scrawl into readable text.
Having said that, however, there is simply no question that note taking on a glass screen is an acquired skill and requires a LOT of practice. And it's even worse if you're a southpaw who's accustomed to resting the heel of one hand on the paper you're writing on.
Frankly, except for the occasional quick note I don't try using the KF for much note taking. The screen is too small and it took me weeks to accustom myself to writing on the iPad. Just not willing to go through the learning curve again. But if others are, I can only recommend that they treat the experience as they did when they first learned to write at six years of age. It takes awhile to become efficient just as it did the first time.
