On a recommendation from this thread, I just started reading Crusade by David Weber and Steve White.

I notice that Insurrection was published first but chronology-wise is 3rd in the series?

Are the two books not written by Weber an actual continuation (i.e. Dave left the story unfinished) or just set in the same world?
