  1. You're locked to iTunes for apps but there are a lot more tablet-optimized apps on iTunes than there are on Google Play. Music, videos, ebooks, etc, you can easily sideload and can pretty much choose whichever vendor you're most comfortable with.

I have Flash disabled on my Android tablets and smartphones. Heck, if not for YouTube and a couple of gaming sites, I wouldn't even bother installing Flash on my desktop.
There are a lot of things where I prefer Android's approach but there's a reason why the iPad is still the most popular consumer-oriented tablet out there. Sure, there are limitations in software but there are often workarounds for that. The most annoying thing about the iPad are the hardware limitations. The iPad's far from perfect but for now, it's still better than the competition.
