The stock Fire ROM has a menu bar double the size of a typical Android setup. That is pretty much what stops most app compatibility for us. And since Gingerbread is not really a tablet optimized OS, developers have to make HD versions specifically tailored to our nice resolution.
That doesn't explain why apps that Amazon displays on the Kindle Fire Apps web page are shown as not compatible with the Kindle Fire when you click on them. That makes absolutely no sense.
