All studies seem to show that us old codgers can't grasp technical things.

But I too wonder if the skew reveals where the survey was posted. A quick look shows predominantly cartoon images of women. I didn't see any images of men except for super action heroes which women apparently adore. I guess I'm not surprised that only 5% of the people who responded were men. Maybe all the men who saw it responded.

Also, the header says "...Reviewing Speculative Fiction & YA...". YA? What that? Young Adult? Young? I think you're right--where it was published made a difference.
