Don't really see the advantages of any "ready-fitted" dictionaries, as against downloading some decent ones, stick 'em in Calibre, load up, and you already have them in Library "backed up" if needed.

Dunno about other readers, but the different generation Sony ones I know about, and they are pretty skimpy - OK for quick checks, but not very good in their "foreign" versions IMO. The "American - English" one is extremely erratic, I've found.
On the other hand, Wiktionary's good, and pretty up to date, and available in most major languages, free of course, along with many more.
