I tried the battery change and it ended up costing me about 40$ and a new reader... The ribbon tape is the problem, it's very hard to connect back and "work" again for the buttons and tears very easily. I found numerous posts from hapless owners like me that had problems with the ribbon tape. Anyways, love mynew T1, love the touch screen and the wireless aspect of it!
