I have an e-ink Kindle Keyboard and two tablets. Most of the time I read books on the Kindle, but sometimes it's nice to see features within a book in color. Even though book covers and illustrations are rendered in grey on the e-ink devices, many of the book covers and illustrations are actually in color, which you can see using the Kindle app on tablets.

The tablets don't bother my eyes, but I know that some people are sensitive to that. For me, the biggest drawback to reading on a tablet is that there can be a lot of glare, so it's not so great for reading outdoors.
