A first book by a new author... I figured that there was no reason for people to want to pay a lot for it. .99 cents lets people pick it up just to check out what it is, which is what I was going for.

I'm flattered to see people suggesting higher prices, but I'm old enough to remember when a paperback book was 2 or 3 dollars, so I like the idea of low-price books, and e-books allow for low prices.

My next full length book (probably a sequel to Hegemony) will probably be more than .99 cents, but my next work (in a setting unrelated to Hegemony,) which is novella-length, will probably be pretty low cost as well.

Meanwhile, anyone who liked Hegemony, reviews are greatly appreciated...
