The eReader will have to offer more than it does now.
More hours on the battery.
More contrast. More shades. (OR color eInk.)
An integrated method to read in the dark. "glow" or back lit or something.
More memory OR just a SD card.
The eReader doesn't have to become a tablet. It doesn't need video or even color though it does need more contrast if it doesn't get color.
