As part of Entertainment Weekly's Top 1000 New Classics issue, a list of the top 25 new tech gadgets was included. The Amazon Kindle is ranked at number 23 on that list. Pretty cool for a device less than 1 year old. You'll be familiar with most of the list. Surprisingly, the iPod is listed but not the iPhone.

Be sure to check out their "100 best reads from 1983 to 2008" list as well. The Kindle Reader states that 35 of the titles on the list are currently available for the Kindle.
