As for Hong Kong being a country rather than part of a country, technically you're correct. But for the purpose of this quiz, Hong Kong was the answer I was looking for. Having been to Hong Kong many times, and China too, in my mind there is NOTHING that would make one think that Hong Kong is part of China except politics.

French Guiana is not a sovereign country. It's a territory of France.
