I make up a list of the author's books (Google big help here) then I go to Toronto Public Library and see which books on the list they have available to lend. I note this beside each of this author's books then buy only the ones I have to. Warning: if the author is popular you sometimes have to put books on waiting list and Library will email when it is ready for pick-up.
Thanks for the tip! I haven't ventured into the 'e-library' world yet, but I definitely want to check out the process one day.
