It's a weird SVG format which one has to jump through some hoops to get at.

Given the really low sampling rate of the Sony digitizer one's writing is really awful looking. There are programs which will convert handwriting to text though, but I don't think you're going to be able to get a Sony ebook reader to stand in for a Newton MessagePad or a full-fledged Tablet PC.

Perhaps you should get one of the tools which is better suited to this sort of thing?
