Bargain (DRM-free @ Carina) 2 pre-orders for $0.99 & 20% off category sale [Romance]

Well, not sure if the pre-orders are a glitch price or not, but these seem to be the monthly deals over at Carina Press, which offers DRM-free ePub worldwide.

Firstly, the official thing with the banner across the top of their site is 20% off all their Erotic Romance category titles, no coupon needed.

Secondly, they appear to be offering two pre-order titles for just 99 cents each. Maybe a glitch, maybe a promo they'll put in the newsletter in a few days. Enjoy while it lasts.

Guarding Jess by Shannon Curtis is 1st in the McCormack Security Agency f/m romantic suspense series, slated for release on May 14th (64,000 words, regularly $4.99).

Jessica Pennington's work as an etiquette coach requires her to be polite and proper at all times, especially now that she has a book coming out. The only thing that rattles her reserve is the increasingly violent emails and texts from her persistent stalker. With the book launch in jeopardy, she reluctantly hires a bodyguard.

Noah Samuels hates stuck-up, prim people like Jessica. He's more the blunt, straightforward type. But to advance up the ranks at McCormack Security, he has to take the high-profile assignment. After a near miss on his first day on the job, Noah realizes that the stalker isn't just hype cooked up to sell books--the threat is real.

As the stalker escalates from letters to letter bombs, Noah sees a vulnerable side of Jessica that rouses more than just his protective instincts. But can she let down her guard long enough to trust Noah before it's too late?

Let Me In by Callie Croix appears to be a standalone BDSM contemporary f/m erotic romance, scheduled for release on May 21st (37,000 words, regularly $3.99).

On leave for Thanksgiving, the last thing marine lieutenant Talia Barnett expects to find is Liam Brodie waiting for her at the airport. He's had a starring role in her fantasies for the past two years, and although she'd love to make them a reality, she has a dark secret that prevents her from taking things further.

A former marine, Liam's specialty is planning tactical operations, and that's just what he plans to do to win Talia. The woman has kept him at arm's length for too long, and this time he's finally going to claim her--body and heart.

What begins as comfort quickly turns hot. When Liam shows Talia a hint of the dominant nature inside him, the submissive part of her flares to life. Though she desires him, she's going back on deployment and doesn't want to dump all her drama on him. Will he find a way to break through the protective walls around her heart and convince her they have a future that goes far beyond the bedroom?

Given that it would seem a bit odd for these to both glitch at the same price, it's probably but not guaranteed to be a deliberate promo, and hopefully means they'll be bringing back those 99 cent introductory 1st-in-series sales that they had last year, for people wanting to try new stuff.

ETA: mikaelalind notes that another title is also at $0.99:

Brook Street: Thief by Ava March, 1st in the Brook Street Trilogy of m/m historical erotic romances, already released with a new volume coming out this month, (40,000 words, regularly $3.99)

The author offers some free short stories set in roughly the same time period via All Romance eBooks if you'd like to try her writing before you buy.

London, 1822

It was only supposed to be one night. One night to determine once and for all if he truly preferred men. But the last thing Lord Benjamin Parker expected to find in a questionable gambling hall in Cheapside is a gorgeous young man who steals his heart.

It was only supposed to be a job. Cavin Fox has done it many times--select a prime mark, distract him with lust, and leave his pockets empty. Yet when Cavin slips away under the cover of darkness, the only part of Benjamin he leaves untouched is his pockets.

With a taste of his fantasies fulfilled, Benjamin wants more than one night with Cavin. But convincing the elusive young man to give them a chance proves difficult. Cavin lives with a band of thieves in the worst area of London, and he knows there's no place for him in a gentleman's life. Yet Benjamin isn't about to let Cavin--and love--continue to slip away from him.
