I've discovered the "Time Vortex" whack!

Or, less fun, I've discovered a bug that keeps my account frozen. I had the game open at work, closed that, came home, opened browser... cycle timer is frozen at 00:00:00.

I've put a note up at Baen's Bar, and thought I'd mention it here too. No idea what's causing this. Cookie verification from switching computers & browsers? (I was on Opera; am now on Firefox.) Or maybe I got gifted a Tardis and it's stuck between timezones until I buy a Sonic Screwdriver asset, only that hasn't been coded in yet?

Followup: Counter is still apparently working (I got new surge points when I should have); I just don't have a visible counter. Hmm.
